Article Marketing SEO Strategies

If you had talked to me about a year ago (current date: 22-Sep-2009) I would have told you that it’s not possible to make a living off of the internet. Well, at least not for the likes of me. Below are a bunch of reasons why I would have thought this to be true:

1. I can’t really write that well to save my life.
2. I’ve been blogging for 6 years and I made nothing significant to make me think you can really make good income by doing so.
3. I’m not really into social networking which people seem to believe to be the holy grail of making money on the internet.
4. I believed that you will only make money if you had tons of traffic the way the big names of the blogosphere do and that you had to post a lot (the usual advice is at least 2 to 3 times a week). I can’t seem to make this work with my blogging because like I said, how can you create a lot of posts if you cant really write that well, right?

Okay. Fast forward one year to today and I can tell you that all of the above are rubbish and I created this blog to document why I believe them to be so. During the past year or so, I have learned how to make money online through the help of people whom I consider my online mentors (see sidebar for some of them) who have clearly cut through all the BS out there to tell you how it really is (More about this amazing bunch of people in future posts I can assure you that).

Article Marketing SEO Strategies was created to document my ongoing experiments with what many consider as still one the most effective strategies in making money on the internet: article marketing.

This blog will be a long term project and let me tell you now that my writing style will be mainly geared towards the search engines but one of my main motivation for doing this is to have a venue to pay it forward. A lot of beginners out there are getting misled by false information the way I was for many many years. I’m hoping to contribute against this by teaching beginners who may stumble onto this blog that their best chance of success in making money on the internet lies with the search engines and learning how to rank well in search results with sound SEO strategies.

Am I aiming to make money off of this blog? Yes. You will see affiliate links on this blog but it will be for programs that I myself am using or have used at some point in time. My main monetization goals for now is to do okay with Google Adsense.
